Saddam

A major figure in our lives has passed from the scene today, Saddam Hussein. Whether you loved, hated, admired or were disgusted by him or his actions, he is no longer upon the earth with us. Of course, the world, that is the non-Muslim world, and especially the U.S. and Israel will be threatened with jihad because of this. However, since we have been living under jihad for the past 50 years or more, we may not notice the difference. Millions will take to the streets in the Arab world to make noise and burn effigies of whomever they feel (or have been told) has caused their problems. The appropriate response is probably a state funeral since, like it or not, he was the leader of a country. To commemorate his passing, I suggest buying and reading a copy of Nonie Darwish's Now They Call Me Infidel at Amazon or your favorite bookstore.
